Boys will be Boys
Hello my friends. I hope you had a great weekend. I sure am as my niece Nicki and son James (who is 4 and the cutest guy every) are in California visiting her brother and us. Nicki is my oldest brother Ford’s daughter and they still live in Chicago where I grew up. Everyone in our family has left Chicago except for Ford and Nicki… They arrived on Thursday in LA and stayed with her brother Pat and then we met up on Saturday to visit my mom and then they came back Saturday night to my house and the next day we took James to Legoland (which is about a mile from my house). What fun we had with him. He is the cutest guy ever. I have not seen him since he was just 1 so I was excited to spend time with him again and of course Nicki. Nicki left her 8 month old baby girl Gracie and home so she and James could have a mini vacation together so I have not met Gracie yet but hope to meet her soon.
This week I will continue to post the cards the girls made at my July SAS that was held on July 18th and 19th. I watched the video that Angie at http://www.mychicnscratch.com called the twist turn card and then created my own version of using this card technique.

Stamp: Boys will be Boys

Blended Bloom Card
Hello and welcome back.
Today I will show you the 2nd of 10 cards made at my July SAS that I held on July 18th and 19th.
I cased this card from Sandi MacIver at http://www.sandimaciver.com/. I loved this card and the colors and wanted the girls to use the new Blendabilities markers. The problem was I had over 35 girls at my July SAS and the blendabilities pens did not hold up with 35 woman using them. They ran out of ink and the tips got bad, I was very disappointed and luckily SU sent me new sets so my sets I bought were not at a loss. I still like the markers but can’t really use them in high volume settings.

Stamp Sets: Blended Bloom, Bloom with Hope (Hostess set) and old background set
Card Stock: Pool Party, white
Ink: Memento Pad, Blendabilities markers
Have a super duper day.

I cased this card from Lind Bauwin at www.stampinwithlinda.typesiet.com. She had a video on how to make this card (posted on her blog on May 27, 2014 Creative Fold Video Series) and loved it but due to my mom breaking her leg in June and taking care of her and trying to get ready for my July SAS (along with my sister) we cheated on this card and used punches instead (as I did not have time to make the main card using the big shot. But check out her video as its cool how she did this card with the big shot. I have posted below the supplies she provided on her blog for this card.

Monstermanicas Door Prize 4 cards and the box
Happy Friday. Yes we got back from our cruise safely and now today is taking time off to be with my dogs and hubby. My dogs are happy I am home as they missed their mommy.
Today I will reveal the box I made to fit the 4 cards I made as a door prize in May.

The box and 4 cards. I guess I forgot to take a picture of just the box but it was a box I have made several times. Just decorate it differently

4 cards again with the box (this is how I display the door prizes for all the girls to check out before I draw their names to win a door prize

Leslie was the first winner on Friday and she picked this box

Tanya was Winner # 2

Lori was winner # 3

Judy was another winner on Friday

R’Lene was the first winner on Saturday and she picked this baby

Nancy was another lucky winner

Toby was another winner on Saturday

Sandy was another lucky winner. She is also one of my newest downlines

Can you believe it, even my sister Ruth got to finally win a door prize and she got the one she really wanted.
Happy a great weekend everyone.

Monstermaniacs Door Prize Card # 4
Happy Cruising, today we depart the ship early… too bad our fun time is over but what a blast it was. So nice to spend time with my buddy Kendra and relax. Thanks buddy for the best vacation yet with my main girl.
I join a group on-line (that you have to pay for) called Create with Connie and Mary and they do several sessions a year with cards or projects made from the SU products. The price of each class that is done on-line at their site is usually $29.99 and goes for about 4 weeks. If you are interested in joining go to http://www.createwithconnieandmary.com and check them out. They have card projects and all kinds of others things you can make with the SU stamps and accessories.
This week I am going to show you 4 cards that were made from a pdf I got from the Connie and Mary during their preview week before the summer session started. This pdf was a preview that was free before the session started and they still have it on their blog. Just go to the right side of the blog for their free pdf before each sessions starts. This pdf was done my Mary and this door prize was a huge hit at my May SAS. Its too bad this stamp set was only a temporarily set as its no longer available. I am glad I snag is when I did.
Card # 4 out of 4 made

This was my favorite of the 4 made and always save my favorite card for last.
Happy day to you all. Sad faces from me and my buddy as our trip is over. Back to reality…

Monstermanicas Door Prize Card # 3
Hello and happy Cruising. We are going to Mexico today and off the boat we go to explore. Or we may just stay on the boat and play as we have both been to Mexico and don’t card if we get off or not. This is the first time I have been a big ship (Princess Cruise line) so I am like a kid in a candy store.. so excited and have to see it all. Poor Kendra who is the cruise Queen…. she got us a great deal with all the cruising she has done. Great time spent with my best buddy.
