Courage

Hello my friends.  Back from vacation and sad b/c I miss my family as we had such a great time.   Wish they lived closer.  A good friend of mine moved with your family to Japan (as her husband is in he military) and before she moved, I gave her this courage stamp set and made a  few sample cards for her so she could start stamping in Japan and hopefully become a SU demo there.    I found the idea for this card on-line and cased it a bit.  Made a few changes but love the look of this card.  This was prefect for Sherry as she can make many of these cards for friends and other soldiers.   I used the watercolor technique (squeezing your ink pad so it puts ink on the back of the stamp pad and then use your watercolor pen and color.  An easy way to give images a light clean look.  Love and miss you Sherry…. Enjoy my friends.

Elegant Soiree

Happy Monday my friends.. not really happy as its my first day back from vacation.. but we had a blast.  My nephews are so fun and such great kids.   It was a fun week.  Now back to reality.. boo hoo.  The attached card I made from a pdf card set I bought from IIrina cruise – here is the site and info on the box and cards under the tutorial. http://ilinacrouse.blogspot.com/2010/07/growing-green-box-and-card-set.html.  She is very talented and makes very cute tutorials to share.  I love that all the SU demos share stuff with each other. Helps to continue our business and helps it grow too.    I used the stamp from the Greenhouse Garden set.  The paper is Elegant Soiree.

Butterfly Box and Cards

Happy Friday my friends.  I am so excited as my nephews (Jack 12 and Ben 10) and their parents arrive tonight from Wash DC for a weeks visit.   My hubby and I are excited as we are also on vacation and can’t wait to do all the fun things we have planned like Disney, Wild Animal Park, Legoland,  Navy Ship in down town SD,  and more…  We are going to have a blast but know the week will go by fast.  That’s always the case when you are vacation right?  Bummer.    Today’s project is the card box and cards I gave away to my girls as door prizes at the August SAS.  I made 1 for the Friday night girls (which is the first picture) as I only had 3 stampers that night and then made 3 (second picture) for the Saturday girls as I had more there.  If they did not win the main door prize, then the won either paper or a paper, pen, ink and refill set.  So fun door prizes.  I have so much retired stuff left I thought I would give it away to share with others.  The card and boxes are the first door prizes to go, so this will be my tradition at each event.   They are so fun to make.   Enjoy my friends and don’t miss me too much next week.  I will try to post but not sure I can.   Have a great weekend.

3 X 3 Note cards

Hello my friends and happy hump day?  I am so excited, only 3 more days until my weeks vacation with my husband’s family.  His brother’s family is coming town for Wash DC for a weeks vacation to sunny SD.   So we are looking forward to their visit and spending time with them all. My nephews are 10 and 12 and great boys, so we will have fun.  Today’s project is another Thank you gift I made the girls for coming to my August SAS.  Ok so I did not make these items.  I bought the cute 3 x 3 cards and envelopes at Michaels (in their dollar bins) and just put ribbon on them.  A quick and easy gift.   Sometimes you have to do that to save time and I did.  The girls loved them anyway and then they got a new ribbon to use.  Have a good day my friends.  Until next time.
