A Little Rees’s Peanut Butter Cup

HI Stampers,

Nothing new from me today but saw this on Jean’s blog at www.Jeanstamps.com.    Love this little box and the Sale-a-bration DSP that was used and using the Envelope punch board, too cool.

Today’s post is for a box made with Stampin’ Up!’s Envelope Punch Board. This cute little box and  belly band will hold a single Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup!

Stampin, Yp! Jeannine Tarrio Envelope Punch Board box
Directions:

1.  Cut Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper into a 5 1/4″ x 5 1/4″ square.
2.  Punch and score at 2 1/4″ then again at 3″ turn paper 90° and repeat on all sides.
3.  Fold all scorelines.
4.  Cut for tabs on bottom of box (see solid lines on diagram) and fold to close.
5.  Make a belly band 1 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, fold around box and glue band only. You want to be able to slide the belly band off!
6.  Stamp just for you on Whisper White card stock and punch with Artisan Label punch.
7.  Adhere to belly band with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Sweet Sorbet Mini Pizza Boxes

Hello Ladies,

I  have nothing to post this week so I am going to post from other ladies blogs who are so creative.    Becky Higgins is wonderful and love her blog and her style.  I this Spiral Flower die but have not used it yet… yikes.. its too cute to not use, but will have to play with it first.   Below are the directions on how to make these boxes.   I may make these as door prizes this month for my March SAS as I have a few more door prizes to make.. we will see if that happens as Gunnar is demanding a lot of my time these days.  Enjoy

They are so dang cute with the new Spiral Flower die!

Want to make one for yourself??
Cut the cardstock to 7-1/4″ x 4″.
Score the long side at 3/4″, 3-1/4″, 4″ and 6-1/2″.
Score the short side at 3/4″ and 3-1/4″.
The belly band is 1″ x about 7-1/2″.  Fold as you go around the box for the best fit, then take it off and score the folds.
The ‘leaves’ under the flower is a Blossom Punch.

February Hostess Projects

Hello my friends,

Hope everyone had a nice weekend, we did, it was quiet as we are home bound with Gunnar but he is doing great and today I get to take him to the surgeon after work and have his 14 day check up.  We hope all is good and that the bone is growing back nicely and that he has not damaged the recovery at all.  It’s hard to keep a 110 pound puppy calm for days.. but we are doing our best with lots of chew toys and bones.  As we can’t play with him with the toys as he loves to play tug or war and can’t do that with this leg, so no fun for him.  He does jump on us when we go into the pen and do then hold him and gently put him down… but poor boy he is missing all his loving time.. but we are close by and can sit outside the gate and give him love, so he is not suffering too bad.   Thanks for all the kind emails and get well cards, so very sweet of all you guys, thanks.

I have two hostess clubs with 6 ladies in it and the club runs for 6 months.   Every month they order a minimum of $25.00 and then get one month out of the six they are the hostess for the month and get to take advantage of the hostess dollars and thank you gift from me to spend.  Its a great deal and good if you want to spread out your purchases.

Included with the club, I provide a project for the girls to make, and I always make them a special thank you card for their orders but forgot to take a picture of the card, but will ask one of my ladies to take a picture of it and send it to me so I can post it here.

I cased this project from Angie at www.mychicnscratch.com as I am in her stamp club and get this wonderful ideas from her.  This is a 4×4 box but I changed it from using the whole piece of DSP into a Crisp Cantaloupe  box with a piece of 4 x 4 DSP on top.   Cute box and can be used with 4 x 4 cards or any little items you would like to put in it.

Very pretty box and what a nice gift.  I hope my hostess ladies liked it.

Have a good day my friends and say prayers for Gunnar that the doctors gives us a good report today.

Door Prizes – Saturday Girls

Hello and welcome back.

Here are the Saturday girls with their door prizes. I did not make any new door prizes, these are all old ones I had from last year and years ago and did not have time in January to make all the door prizes so used up what I had on hand. Some were favorites that the girls did not get last time so they were excited to pick some oldies but goodies.

Gunnar Time

Hello stampers, hope you had a good weekend.

We have been busy at my house as our puppy Gunnar who was 11 month on Feb 21st had to have surgery on his right shoulder as he has Osteocondrosis. It was not something he did, he was born with this condition.  We noticed it as he was limping a lot and favoring that right leg.   After several weeks of waiting for our Vet to have the xrays she took reviewed, we took him in a week of ago Wed and had to do CT scan with the speciality hospital.   They confirmed what I Vet thought and so his surgery as schedule last Wed so in we went on  Wed morning and he had his surgery.  It all went well and the surgeon said the cause was better than they thought and did not have to open him up more or do any more surgery. They did the whole think Opterscopic (sp) so no stitches which is great, just three little wholes that need to heal.  The best part is they are high enough on his shoulder that he can’t get at it.   He came home on Thursday afternoon and is doing great.  I took Friday off to be home with him and Brian took today off as he now has what the Surgeon calls Jail time, meaning Crate time when we are at work and a small pen set up in the family room when we are home (which will be a lot now).  He can only go on shorts walks to do his business then its back in the crate or pen.  So my hubby and I will be home bound for a while as his recovery is 4-6 weeks.  I am not sure he will be better in time for my March SAS so we will make it all work with the crate and pen everywhere, so ladies be patient, my house will be a mess.   But I don’t want to postpone it as I have too many ladies coming and too many people to change plans, so just bare with me.  I am just glad my baby is ok and on the road to recovery.  Just means a lot of home time and for him to get better.   Imagine trying to keep this guy quiet for 4 weeks, we have our hands full.

Here are some of the pictures I took of him on Thursday.  In the crate after getting home and then we moved him into the pen we set up in the family room when we are home.  He does not like either and gives us a hard time trying to get him back in but we do it together and then he settles.  Not sure how long he will do this to us, but hope not long.   He is now 11 months old and 110 pounds.

Gunnar after Surgerty1 Gunnar after Surgery2 Gunnar after surgery

These were taken after being home about 1/2 hour in the new XL Crate we  bought as his old large one is too small for him now.  He will only be in this when we are at work.  Its still not huge but enough that he can move around.  We could not find a bigger one .  You can see the side and how much hair they shaved off.   He ate right after he got home which was great.  But look at the sad face like Mom, what did you do to me.

Gunnar in pen in family room Gunnar in pen with maddie

Gunnar in Pen we set up in the family room.  Then a picture where Maddie is not far from him.  These pictures were taken on Friday morning when I was home with him. He hates the pen and crate but needs to heal so we can make this work.  He just needs to trust us and listen better but pulling him into the pen is not good either.      The blue pad you see him lying on is a cooling pad we bought for him when we first go him as he gets so warm.  He only sleeps on it now in our bedroom at night but decided to put it in the crate and he likes it there as he loved to just lay on our tile floor.  Glad he is comfortable.

Love my boy and so sorry this all happened to him.

Have a good day my friends.

Pam
